DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The work involves the construction of a pumping station for potable water on the premises of the General Belgrano Water Treatment Plant belonging to the AySA company which will have a pumping capacity of 8,000 m2/h with a 4 + 2 configuration (4 pumps in operations, 2 in reserve). The node is connected to a peripheral channel of the current reservation tank where the volume to be driven arrives, and a new pressure pipe with a 1,200 mm diameter which will expand and improve the drinking water service in the areas surrounding the pumping stations Bernal II and Bernal III.

Complementary works were also included, such as a chamber for the DN 1200 flowmeter pipe, a chamber for the main valve DN 1200 system, a system of antiram tanks for protecting the DN 1200 pipe, 3.4 km long, with a total capacity of 400 m3, electrical installations in MV and LV power for general pumping equipment and a pumping station and lime water dosing system to control the final pH of drinking water.
