PROJECT

Extending the sanitary sewer system network in a section of the Colón and Juan Francisco de Aguirre neighborhoods and the water system on Colón Avenue between Uriarte Street and Alsina Street.

CLIENT

Municipality of the city of Santiago del Estero

DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Colón Avenue in the city of Santiago del Estero did not have a sewer service due to the lack of a collector to transport effluent to the southeast of the city. To solve this problem, it was proposed to extend the collector network along the avenue, which required the installation of double pipes, one per sidewalk, to serve 418 homes.

Approximately 5,000 m of 0.160 m diameter PVC sewer pipe was laid, with a soil movement volume of approximately 5,000 m3, and 30 manholes were built.

Likewise, the drinking water distribution network on both sides of the avenue was renovated to serve approximately 381 homes. This task involved laying 3,560 m of Class 6 PVC pipe with a diameter of 0.075 m, 1,780 m of Class 6 PVC pipe with a diameter of 0.110 m, 650 m of Class 6 PVC pipe with a diameter of 0.250 m, and 570 m of Class 6 PVC pipe with a diameter of 0.315 m, with an earth movement of approximately 4,600 m3, the installation of 61 sluice gates and three complete hydrants.
