Given the sheer size, exacting technical characteristics and challenges to be overcome during the different phases of implementation, many of the works executed by our company have earned praise from specialists in various branches of engineering.

With the construction of the Rio Hondo Dam in 1958, we began a unique story that binds us inexorably to the development of this country’s most important hydropower projects. We have taken part in the execution of 14 hydroelectric plants and dams, which underlines the way in which our technical leadership has become consolidated in the sector.

In 1971, the company was sold to the Italian government and for 25 years its main shareholder was the Istituto per la Reconstruzione Industriale (IRI). In 1996 the company was acquired by Argentine capital. The strength and relevance of the values espoused by our Italian founders transcends generations and is an integral part of Panedile’s corporate culture today.
