CLIENT

DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
One of the most serious problems affecting Peru is the devastation caused by the weather phenomena cause water levels to rise in the rivers along the country’s coast.
The San Juan river and its tributaries, the Chico and Matagente rivers, are no exception, and these works form part of the efforts being made to mitigate the effects of these phenomena.
The works involve building riverside defenses along the banks of the Chincha river; specifically, this concerns five stretches on the Chico and Matagente rivers tributaries known as Chico 1, Chico 2, Chico 3, Matagente 1 and Matagente 2.
The project involves a number of different prevention measures to control river overflows and flooding. These include executing provisional activities and works, the provision of resources and other aspects deemed necessary to build the river defenses, including earthworks, the provision and placement of rockfilling material, the provision and installation of geosynthetics, and the construction and maintenance of access roads and paths, as well as works of art and bypasses made from reinforced concrete.
